Plate VII — Country Girl (the Room Below the Quarters)
$7.49
Observing note
Faint, overlooked and a full magnitude below the penthouse stars above it, this winter object is the one most visitors to the atlas end up loving. The observing note explains why: it is the only star on the plate drawn with its own horizon, as if it had brought a piece of open country up the service stairs. Southern-hemisphere viewers will find it best after midnight in July.
