Observing note
Measured first in 1812 and again a lifetime later, the Ballroom Pair had drifted apart and then, against every prediction, closed back to their original separation. The house engraver drew their orbit as three slow sweeps, a waltz for a second chance. A northern winter object, high overhead at midnight in December.
