Plate XXII — Say It in Color (the Palette Double)
$9.49
Observing note
The most photographed object in the atlas, and the most argued over, because no two observers agree on the colours. One records the primary as amber and its companion as steel; another insists on topaz and sapphire. What nobody disputes is that they are bound, and that the contrast is the whole point. A southern summer plate printed in six inks.
